Présentation

Lynn Saville a fait ses études à la Duke University et au Pratt Institute. Elle se spécialise dans la photographie des villes et des campagnes au crépuscule et à l'aube, ou comme elle le décrit, "les moments limites entre la nuit et le jour".

Ses photographies sont publiées dans quatre monographies : Acquainted With the Night (Rizzoli, 1997) ; Night/Shift, avec une introduction d'Arthur C. Danto (Random House/Monacelli, 2009) ; Dark City, avec une introduction du critique primé Geoff Dyer (Damiani, Bologne, 2015) et Lost : New York (Kris Graves Projects, New York, 2018). La photographie de Saville est représentée par la Yancey Richardson Gallery à New York et fait partie des collections d'art permanentes de grands musées, de sociétés et de particuliers. Elle vit à New York avec son mari, le poète Philip Fried.
