baudoin lebon

art gallery

baudoin lebon gallery, created in 1976 by its eponym founder, is now located 21 rue chapon in Paris. In these places of artistic effervescence, the gallery strives to support and defend unique artists, promoting a large diversity of practices (painting, sculpture, photography, installation...). This visionary space showed the first exhibitions in Paris of Australian aboriginal painters, some unknown aspects of painting "tenors" like Dubuffet or Michaux, exceptional artists such as Réquichot or Bettencourt, Simonds and Uematsu installations in situ, or a major set of Fahlström.

Specialized in modern and contemporary photography, baudoin lebon gallery has a significant collection of 19th and 20th century photographs, such as those of Lisette Model. Important figures are currently represented: Joël-Peter Witkin, Patrick Bailly-Maitre-Grand, Mathieu Bernard-Reymond, Peter Knapp or Franco Fontana.

In 40 years, the gallery has built an international reputation, thanks to the special artists represented but also its dynamism on the art scene. Several exhibitions are organized each year, along with participation in renowned fairs such as AIPAD in New York, Art Busan in South Korea or Paris Photo and Art Elysees. Through these eclectic choices and a long-term work with the artists, the gallery has created a strong identity.
